Responsibilities of The Venezuelan Exchange Officer
- Understant and perform the duty of their counterpart.
- Carry out the tasks assigned by the host govertment
in accordance with laws, and rules of his/her country.
- Understand and make recomendations to the United States
Army Signal Corps, and Venezuelan Army Signal Service, survivability,
interoperability, and compatibility of a Joint Telecommunications System
- Establish and maintain understanding of the Joint Tactics, techniques,and Procedures
for a Coalition Forces, Humanitarian, Counterdrug, Counterrorism, and Peacekeeping operations.
- Coordinate a Coalition Exchange Training Program between the US ARMY, and the Venezuelan
Army Signal Service.
- Serve as a Project Officer responsible for Combat Developments activities associated with
short-range modifications and long range acquisition programs required to improve tactical and
strategic communications.
- Study and Analyze the overall telecommunications and information requirements of the Army to
determine effectiveness and adecuacy of new equipment and supporting systems.
- Be able to serve as an instructor at the Signal School in Fort Gordon.
- Participate as a member or assist in reviews and studies pertaining to doctrinal and
organizational impact and life cycle cost effectiveness analysis.
- Review systems specifications, monitors research and development activities, and resolves
technical problems in procurement of new communications systems.
- Determine if the existing telecommunications systems, methods and techniques are adequate for employment
in Joint Operations.
