Responsibilities of The Venezuelan Exchange Officer




  1. Understant and perform the duty of their counterpart.

  2. Carry out the tasks assigned by the host govertment in accordance with laws, and rules of his/her country.

  3. Understand and make recomendations to the United States Army Signal Corps, and Venezuelan Army Signal Service, survivability, interoperability, and compatibility of a Joint Telecommunications System

  4. Establish and maintain understanding of the Joint Tactics, techniques,and Procedures for a Coalition Forces, Humanitarian, Counterdrug, Counterrorism, and Peacekeeping operations.

  5. Coordinate a Coalition Exchange Training Program between the US ARMY, and the Venezuelan Army Signal Service.

  6. Serve as a Project Officer responsible for Combat Developments activities associated with short-range modifications and long range acquisition programs required to improve tactical and strategic communications.

  7. Study and Analyze the overall telecommunications and information requirements of the Army to determine effectiveness and adecuacy of new equipment and supporting systems.

  8. Be able to serve as an instructor at the Signal School in Fort Gordon.

  9. Participate as a member or assist in reviews and studies pertaining to doctrinal and organizational impact and life cycle cost effectiveness analysis.

  10. Review systems specifications, monitors research and development activities, and resolves technical problems in procurement of new communications systems.

  11. Determine if the existing telecommunications systems, methods and techniques are adequate for employment in Joint Operations.

  12. Additional Duties assigned.
